New Music from CHVRCHES
Scottish electropop band, CHVRCHES has been getting a lot of attention over the past year or so, and are slowly but surely gaining popularity. Last year they snagged a spot opening for Passion Pit’s UK tour as well as playing their own UK tour before heading the US for SXSW. CHVRCHES (pronounced Churches) has been on the up since then. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of CHVRCHES in the upcoming months.
This week they debuted their new single “Gun,” an infectiously catchy track. “Guns” is off their upcoming debut album, set to drop sometime in September.
CHVRCHES is for fans of electro-pop acts like Passion Pit and M83. However, lead singer Lauren Mayberry’s voice is what really sets this trio apart from the rest. Her voice is poppy, yet other-wordly at the same time. Mayberry might give Ellie Goudling (and similar acts) a run for their money.
Give the new track a listen here and check out their summer tour dates below!

New John Mayer Album
John Mayer took to his tumblr account Thursday to announce a new record coming out this summer! Mayer specifically said the new album would not be a deluxe Born and Raised, either. It seems the singer-songwriter is anxious to overcome the setback from his health and wants to share all new music with fans, just in time for his summer tour. Check out what he had to say below:
New record this Summer… Not a Born and Raised “plus”… A new group of songs to bring the whole thing up to date with Summer 2013. I have that hunger that always precedes something meaningful. See you all soon. And thanks for the warm welcome back to the stage. Getting back on it a little at a time.
John
Tickets to the Born and Raised World Tour are still available here.
Who else can’t wait to hear new music?!
