Cartel & Kids in Glass Houses UK Tour
One thing that is so great about music is how universal it is. Speaking of, Cartel and Kids in Glass Houses have just announced dates for their upcoming fall tour which will take place in the UK! The bands will start out in Liverpool at the end of September and end in Nottingham just a little bit after the beginning of October. If you’re a UK native or just so happen to be lucky enough to get out to the UK for a show or two, get excited because it’s going to be one tour you may not want to miss if you love both of the bands! Five years ago we played our first show with our best friends The Maine in Tempe Arizona. We were just a bunch of kids setting out to follow our dreams, see the world and make our parents proud. We are so grateful to be sharing the stage with them again this summer. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we’ve decided this will be our final US tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end this chapter than with our friends that were there from the start. Since 2008 a lot has changed. We have grown as a band and also as individuals. We are band mates, best friends, business partners and most importantly, we are brothers. This band has been our family for the last 5 years. We shared everything with each other and experienced the world together. The bond that we’ve created is irreplaceable. This wasn’t the easiest decision for us, but we all felt like it was the right one and the right time. You guys, our fans, have supported us through everything. The good times and the bad. We owe you the world and words simply cannot begin to describe the amount of gratitude and love we have for each and every one of you. We ask that you come see us this summer, share some stories, laugh,sing and cry with us. For every ticket stub you’ve collected, record you purchased or T-shirt you picked up at a show, just know it has not gone unnoticed. We hope our music has been able to help you see the light in the darkest of times and has left a lasting impression in your hearts as you have done in ours. We love you with all of our hearts. Thank you for staying on our side. Lets go out the way we came in, surrounded by loved ones and friends, doing what we love. Here’s to the future. Stay Wild & Free.

Vampire Weekend Release Double A- Side Single
They’re back! Today, the gentlemen of Vampire Weekend released a double a- side single featuring two songs: “Step” and “Diane Young.” The anticipation surrounding new Vampire Weekend material has been steadily growing since the band announced the completion of their third studio album late January. Now fans finally get a taste of what is to come. “Step” and “Diane Young” are both enchanting tracks that explore the familiar feeling of nostalgia.

My Favorite Michael Angelakos Tweets
If you’re like me, then you obsessively follow the Twitter accounts of your favorite bands and the accounts of each band member as well. One of my favorite Twitter accounts belongs to Michael Angelakos of Passion Pit. He has a tendency to go on rants a la Kanye West but, instead of leaving me bewildered like West does, Angelakos leaves me laughing. Angelakos’ rants consist of retweeting fans’ tweets and writing a sarcastic response or simply responding sarcastically to fans’ tweets (I’ve fallen victim to this). Aside from ranting, Angelakos is not afraid to speak out against the many blogs that have taken it upon themselves to bash Passion Pit’s successes. Thanks to Twitter’s fancy new embed feature, I was able to comprise a list of some of my favorite @mangelakos tweets from the past couple weeks.
Fall Out Boy Record Finished
Album producer Butch Walker announced on twitter that the new Fall Out Boy album due out April 15th is finally complete. Check out the tweet from him below.

OneRepublic has released a new music video for their song, “If I Lose Myself.” The band also sat down with MTV News to discuss the meaning behind the song and the video, and it’s not quite what you’d think! You can hear what Ryan Tedder and the band had to say here.
New Hot Chelle Rae Single
Hot Chelle Rae have released a new song entitled “Hung Up.” It’s been a while since the boys have had a big hit, though their catchy “Tonight Tonight” isn’t hard to forget! The band has also announced that a new album, their third studio album, is well underway and will be released soon.
