South By So What?!
For those who couldn’t make it (or were trying to stay away from) the craziness that is SXSW, South By So What?! was the place to be. The day had the vibe of Warped Tour, scaled down to two main stages, a smaller side stage, and a small setup beside a childrens’ playground. The earlier hours were filled with both local and smaller touring bands including Set It Off, Handguns, City Lights, ISSUES and Dallas’s own Crown The Empire. As the sun began to set on Quiktrip Park larger national acts such as Of Mice & Men, Riff Raff, Chiodos, The Ready Set, Forever The Sickest Kids, and Breathe Carolina took the stage.

Parachute Joins Boys Like Girls Fall Tour
Parachute recently set off with The Cab and Katelyn Tarver for their late North American summer tour. Right after they wrap that up Parachute will be supporting NEEDTOBREATHE on the Reckoning 2012 tour also featuring Drew Holcomb. Unfortunately for some, the majority of the dates for both tours are in the midwest and east coast, leaving Californians and other west coast music lovers in the dark. Luckily, it has just been announced that Parachute will join Boys Like Girls on their fall tour with The All American Rejects and The Ready Set. Parachute will be jumping on the last leg of their tour starting with the show on October 16th, in Indiana and ending on Halloween in California! Check out the rest of the dates Parachute will be playing below!

After a run on tour with All Time Low followed by a headlining tour, The Ready Set will be playing entirely acoustic on this tour. Along with the shows being acoustic, there is another thing that makes them special. At each show attendees are encouraged to wear Christmas sweaters and Jordan Witzigreuter will pick his favorite to win merch and bragging rights. This addition is perfect for the holidays and will make all of the shows feel that much more unique.

The Ready Set/ That’s Outrageous
On August 16th, The Ready Set and That’s Outrageous will be releasing a vinyl LP of their song “Split 7”. The LP will also feature The Ready Set’s song “Young Forever” on one side and on the reverse side That’s Outrageous’ cover of the song. The release is limited to only 1,000 pieces on white vinyl and is currently avaliable for pre-order.
