Taking Back Sunday is gearing up for an acoustic release of their well-known and influential album, Tell All Your Friends, on June 18th. The band has released a trailer to anticipate the upcoming record.

 

O’Brother Is Oh So Ready For New Music

Georgia rockers O’Brother have announced a new album titled Disillusion due out on August 20th via Triple Crown Records. The band blew spectators out of the water and gained steam in the scene late last year when they joined Circa Survive on the Violent Waves tour. The band’s press release describes the recording process in more detail:

New York, NY – O’Brother is thrilled to announce the release of their sophomore studio album Disillusion, slated for August 20th, 2013 via Triple Crown Records.  The band ventured out of their hometown of Atlanta, GA to the bitter cold of Long Island this past winter to hole up in the studio with engineer/producer Mike Sapone (Brand New,Public Enemy, Daytrader).  The result is a heavier, refined follow-up to the band’s critically acclaimed 2012 debut Garden Window, which the Wall Street Journal’s Jim Fusilli described as “…a brutalizing blend of industrial rock, alt-metal and metal featuring a three-guitar attack….”

Deja Entendu Turns Ten

One of the influential albums of its genre, or lack thereof, Deja Entendu, performed by the underground emotional rock kings, Brand New, turns ten this upcoming week. While there is so much to say about the legacy of the record and the cult-like embrace it received from fans, PropertyOfZack sums up its enormity in their decade piece celebrating the album. The album is also streaming from the decade page and is certainly worth a listen. Hopefully fans will be seeing more from Brand New in these upcoming summer months!
